Description
Mexico has a longstanding migratory tradition for emigration, immigration and transit migration. The country’s economic stability has attracted an increasing number of international migrants.
The National Institute for Migration (INM) requested support from MIEUX to support the Mexican authorities in the development of a Protocol on protection and assistance to migrants in crisis situations, developed in line with national, regional, international and human rights standards.
In addition to the Protocol mentioned above, this Action also enabled the space for sharing EU good practices and the enhancement of capacities and internal skills of representatives of Mexican authorities on the delivery of migration management and migrant assistance.
