The updated regional factsheets published in December 2021 compile data about our work in Eastern and Southern Africa, Western and Central Africa, Asia, the European Neighbourhood and Latin America and the Caribbean since 2009. You may download or preview the factsheets in several languages in our Resources webpage.
An overview of Actions and partners
Each factsheet includes a timeline of Actions as well as the types of partners that requested assistance from us. Additionally, a summary of pressing issues and partner priorities is included. The number of Actions reflects the data available up to December 2021.
Breakdown of experts
Since 2009, almost 400 experts have participated in our Actions, collaborating with their peers around the world to exchange knowledge and practices about a wide array of topics in the areas of Migration and Development, Legal Migration, Asylum and International Protection, Trafficking in Human Beings, Irregular Migration and cross cutting topics such as climate change and human rights.
New format and languages
The new format for the regional factsheets was designed to be more visually engaging and enables readers to become acquainted with the evolution of Actions in each region with a quick glance. Factsheets are available in English and French. Additional languages are available for Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean, reflecting the variety and breadth of languages covered in our work.
Pressing issues and priorities
As the COVID-19 pandemic spread worldwide in early 2020, it forced Public Administrations to realign priorities and plans. Our Regional Focal Points engaged in consultations with the partner authorities to assess their new needs and priorities in terms of capacity development and used this exercise as a basis to co-design new Actions. The factsheets summarise the main points conveyed by partners during these consultations.
The Regional Factsheets are available to preview and download in our Resources section or directly below. Share with your networks to continue building our international community of migration capacity development experts and practitioners.
