Following the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs's request, MIEUX organised a mission to assess gaps and needs in data collection and management of irregular migration, involving experts from Italy and Spain for this purpose. 

Through several bilateral meetings with relevant interlocutors, among which the Indian Council of Overseas Employment, representatives from the Ministry, and others, the experts received an introductory overview of certain aspects of the situation regarding migration in India, namely national-state level cooperation, data collection and information sharing, as well as outmigration and overseas employment.
