MIEUX team

Alima Kassenova joined the team in September 2022 as Associate Project Officer.

She coordinates capacity building projects in Kazakhstan, Moldova and Tajikistan, as well as provides support for the implementation of other MIEUX+ activities.

A Kazakhstani national, she has an academic background in International Relations and Central, East-European, Russian and Eurasian studies. She became fascinated by migration at a very young age and dedicated her academic and professional work to this field.

Before MIEUX+, she worked in international organisations and NGOs in Kazakhstan, developing actions to prevent and eradicate human trafficking in Central Asia.
